The Science Behind High Performance Teams

Summary
We have all read books and articles about how other companies build high-performance teams. But as a leader at any level in your organization, while those articles sound good, what is the science behind building high-performance teams? Is there any science or just pure luck? Can you repeat it consistently and if so, how?
In this talk, we will look at PRISM - a science-backed framework for helping people thrive in their workplace. Developed by the world-renowned psychologist Marty Seligman and CPO of BetterUp, Gabriella Kellerman, it offers us a well-tested way to build and invest in our current world of remote-first engineering teams by breaking leadership down to 5 core ideas you need to pay attention to.
