Summary

Our company has wholeheartedly embraced the use of AI to work smarter, move faster, and solve problems in new ways. In this talk, I’ll discuss Tilt’s AI adoption journey: what’s worked well, what’s been challenging, and how we’re making sure our AI efforts support real business goals. This session is for engineering leaders who want a practical look at how to start using AI in ways that actually make a difference.

You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at:

  • The quarter-by-quarter OKR framework we used to take the organization from initial fear to widespread adoption.
  • The key inflection points that led to a 40% jump in PR velocity in just four weeks.
  • A look at the structured programs that worked, including an "AI Ambassador" program designed to drive bottom-up adoption.
  • How to define and cultivate AI competency as a growth framework for every engineer, from junior to senior.
