I'm an experienced technical leader with 20+ years experience leading high-performance teams as VP of Engineering and Operations at several startups including Caffeine.tv, Smugmug, iCracked, and IMVU, and as a Senior Engineering Manager and Technical Advisor at Amazon.

I developed and implemented the Lean Startup methodologies with Eric Ries while at IMVU (literally the first Lean Startup), where my team helped start the DevOps movement by building the infrastructure to ship code to production 50 times a day back in 2009--we coined the term “continuous deployment.” I am experienced implementing Agile, CI/CD, TDD, and a variety of product development processes in teams ranging from 5 to 70+.
