Navigating Difficult Conversations

As engineering leaders, we constantly have to manage various conflicts that may arise, and often need to have some difficult conversations - whether it's giving and landing some critical feedback, or proposing a drastically different new direction for the team. Let's get together to share our experiences, what worked well and what didn't, and learn from each other.

Daisy is an engineering leader at Google, and has led engineering teams at Google Photos and YouTube. During her management career, she has turned around low performers into top contributors, transformed the team culture on demoralized teams, hired and built teams from scratch, significantly increased execution velocity of the team, and received the great manager award - highest recognition for outstanding managers in the org.
She has also led a manager development program to help train and support 100+ managers, as well as having led internal women’s programs to build communities for 200+ women, helping women in the org connect with and support each other.
